Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens - Wings of the Tropics
Coral Gables, Florida
One of my floral images won Grand Prize for a one year family membership at Fairchild Tropical Gardens. It is a place I encourage anyone who is in the area to visit.
The Wings of the Tropics is truly magical to be among the rare and colorful butterflies. 3 male and 3 female hummingbirds were recently added.
Although there is much to see at Fairchild it would be easy to spend the entire day at the butterfly exhibit which is connected to the Rain Forest exhibit.

@Steven: I appreciate your comment Steven. Thanks for the welcome, I can't say that I'm back but I do miss AM3 and all the great friends and photographers here.
@Doug: Thank you Doug for your comment. I've waiting a long time to capture a hummingbird so this was a real treat for me. Although it was within an indoor butterfly exhibit where they had recently introduced 6 hummers, including this one. I've only seen a hummingbird a very few times in the wild, my backyard where they were difficult to capture. I'm anxious for the next opportunity.
