Fall Fell

Update: It has become necessary for me to take some time off from posting. I have missed visiting all of your blogs and magnificent photography. As I am able, I will be visiting. Hopefully I will return to posting soon.

That is about the extent of it here in this part of Florida.
Those beautiful red and yellow colors are no where to be found.
This leaf is from a Laurel Oak that drifted down from a neighbors tree.

Another great leaf macro ... and I guess 'they're' right when it's said that the weather line goes from Tampa Bay to Daytona ... and we're above that, hence a little bit of color up here.

Fall is a lot more tidy in Florida, if that's any consolation. Or so you might thing - actually we have several kapok trees that drop not only all their leaves but also all their thousands of pink flowers for weeks and weeks on end. As fast as you blow them away, there's a new fallen layer. But no dramatic reds oranges or golds.

I like the deep texture in the details of this leaf.

Enjoy your time off. I know that sometimes taking a break is very needed. I also find that a break can make you come back with renewed vision and enthusiasm.

Well what we lack in fall colors, your leaf has certainly made up for in detail and shades of brown. It's a very good photo. Hope all is ok on your end.

I like your single leaf shot of your fall foliage. We too had a very bleak and colorless fall here. An early freeze seemed to stop the leaves from turning pretty colors. Many just turned dark brown and fell of the trees. Thanks for visiting my blog - all the best as you take a break from this routine!
