Running with the Dolphins

I love dolphins, and recently went out on a local dolphin cruise in Clearwater Harbor and into the Gulf of Mexico.

In this area of the Harbor was the only sighting of the entire trip. Just a minute before as I stood with my camera like I was a tourist taking in the sunshine (and not ready) a dolphin made a leap into the air higher than I stood on deck.
I was in awe and too dazed to grab the shot. After, the same dolphin moved to the other side of the boat I did as well and ready for his next leap.

This was the next and only encounter after his intial leap. I was also facing Westward into a sun that was closing into the horizon.

They truly are a spectacular creature.
