One of my aloe vera plants produced this bloom. It sprouts on a tall stalk from the center of the plant. I am always fascinated by the bloom of this plant and find the combination of colors very appealing.
The bloom consists of these multiple pods, they do not open.
A moth appears to have placed itself inside.
This is another sample shot of the few I have been able to capture with my new Kenko Extension Tubes. Using only the 12 mm and 20 mm on my 18-70 mm lens.
We have had cool and windy weather which keep the bugs hiding. My time lately has been limited too.

@Lorraine: Your comment is just as soothing to the spirits. Your images and comments always make my day. Thanks, Lorraine.
@Judy: Thanks for saying that, Judy. I thought it was just me that has never seen an aloe bloom. This same plant has bloomed every year since it was planted 10 years ago. Other aloe in the yard have not bloomed. It is interesting to see the stalk sprout from the center, get taller each day and present this unique bloom.
@Bill: What a wonderful comment, Thank you, Bill.
