Hope

Funny story. I was on the community page earlier just taking in everyone's submissions for the day. As I glanced at the thumbnail of "Hope", the song I was listening to sang "...hope..." and I thought, "strange coincidence."

Fast forward a few hours later and I receive an email telling me I have received some comments on some of my photos. So I go check them out. Naturally, I like to see the work of the commenter. So I click on the name, and there is your photo once again.

Wow. Crazy huh? Anyway, I enjoy your work and, as I mention earlier, very eye-catching.

An interesting angle from which you chose to take this photo, as if to say, "Hope is within sight." I like how the light is reflected off the stone.

@dang: Thank you, Tom. I enjoy experimenting with light and shadows, and of course macro.
Also, it is pouring rain as I write so unless I dig into the archives there may be another "table top" image tomorrow.

@Lorraine: Many mediums can be healing, it depends on how one accepts them.
Often healing can be found in the simplist of forms.

The reflection is so faint, which is a little like the way hope is on occasion ... it feels etherial but if you look close you see it's real and there for you if you look for it. The colors are luscious in their subtlety.
