Body Language

I have my own opinion of what their body language says but I would be more interested to hear what it says to you.

Pier 60, Clearwater Beach, Florida.

With hurricane warnings in our forecast the surf has washed up a lot of organic debri.

By the time you view this we may or may not have been hit by the storm. Hurricanes are very unpredictable of where they will end up.

@Lorraine: The Beatles 1963, I remember it well. You have a fun sense of humor. It does look like there is a secret and the other guy is bored with his same old stories.

Storm up date as of 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. I have yet to see a drop of rain today. Gray skies, very little wind, 80 F.
All of this could change by later this evening with rain and wind. Other than that the biggest threat from Hurricane Faye has passed.

@MaryB: Thank you MaryB for your comment and concern.
As I write there still has not been any rain in my area only gray skies and very little wind. The real danger has passed and we may end up with some rain. Reports look more threatening on TV although we did have to prepare there was a real possibility of it hitting here.

These guys look like they have a funny joke they're sharing, or at least one of them thinks it's funny. Maybe they're waiting on the storm that never really came. We're the same way in Bradenton, everything closed down and we've yet to see one drop of rain. Lots of clouds, cooler temps, and some occasionally hefty breezes is all we got.

The news media is trying to keep the public's anxiety levels up there about Fay, but I think they're the biggest reason people don't take these storms seriously. They hype the non-events to the point of near frenzy, then nothing really big happens and people get complacent.

It's like Aesop's old fable about the boy who cried "Wolf!" when there was no wolf. The villagers got so sick of answering these false alarms that one day when a real wolf showed up and the boy cried the alarm, no one came and the wolf made off with the entire flock.

@Viewfinder: Thanks VF. I agree the one on the right does not seem amused or interested.
We didn't even have a hefty breeze and 25 raindrops around 5:00 p.m. That's it. It was actually a pleasant day but with gray skies.
We do need some rain here though, everything is dry.

I think the media tries to outdo each other wanting to be the first to report and if something should happen they were they want credit.
Like this evening one reporter found a street probably a few yards long with some water and stood in it to report. The rest of the area was high and dry.
Drama at it's best. I know too many now that no longer believe the hype and do nothing. Thanks for your comment.
