Turtle resting on underwater post while a dragonfly lands to rest too. I once knew the actual name of that reddish winged insect. For now it is a dragonfly, unless of course someone out there knows.

Magnificent capture Barbara ! the look of the turtle looking at the dragonfly ...!!and ...what happen after that??

@Marie-Hélène: The turtle did no seem bothered at all. In fact there is a damselfly partially in view at the back of the turtle. The reddish dragonfly are often sitting on the alligators in this pond. There must be something on these reptiles that they like. Thank you for your comment.
