My other passion, pottery. This piece is still in progress. I wanted to capture the medallion stamp I added to see how it looks. As always I appreciate your views and comments.
A beautiful pot and that stamp looks rather oriental. A great hobby and photo.

@Bonj: Thank you very much for a kind comment. I am weeks new to the pottery wheel but it has been in my heart to do for many years. Many!
I really like the pot. The photo is great too.

ahhh - splendid job, nicely shaped sides and an excellent job at attaching the medallion stamp. What kind of clay do you use? Almost looks like JBS - but there are SO many clays... also what cone do you fire up to?

@Rabbit: Thank you Rabbit for taking a look. I have quite a ways to go in knowing the details but I am all too anxious to learn it all. All of the pieces I made except this one and one other have been glazed, I am waiting for firing to be completed to see the results which will give me a clear idea of what to expect. The medallion was made from a small clay disk I had that is actually an incense holder. Even though I asked during class I don't recall accurately, but I believe the clay is from Tennessee, easy to work with. There are several kilns, small to very large, I believe it was about cone 5. I really appreciate your comment, Thanks Rabbit.
Beautiful, you multi-talented person, you...
