Being a sincere animal lover I sympathized with poor Duke who had to pull a cart with tourists all day in the Florida sun and heat. Although on this day it was mid to high 70's. I am uncertain if they would actually make Duke do this during summer months when the heat is unbearable.
He should be romping around free in an open field munching on grasses. On the other hand this may be all he knows and would miss the interaction with tourists.
I do forget how 'citified' you are down there at times. GREAT shot of Duke!

Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes...it hurts me to see it, they are so beautiful, they should also be wild and free. I'm one hundred % with you on this Barbara.

I would rather see him romping about on a farm, too. A very nice shot!

@Ina: Thank you Ina. I could tell Duke was well cared for. He had a remarkable personality too.
I agree with you! Is there no animals rights party there?

@Michael: Thank you Michael. Indeed we have animal rights. I assure you if I felt an animal such as Duke was in danger I would be first to speak out. Duke the horse is well taken care of. My message was not to imply abuse only expressing my opinion that I prefer to see an animal free rather than used to entertain tourists. Duke was exceptionally friendly. Your comment is appreciated.
Great shot. I am sure he enjoys his life as long as he is well looked after.
