Hold Onto Your Dreams

Sculpture created by Leslie Fry - 2007.
As part of a sculpture installation project supported by various departments within the State of Florida.
A spark of creativity has taken over me. Attempting a few ideas in photoshop.

Some description on the sculpture: It is a mermaid figure hugging an old tree. Her head is covered with pine cones. On her back is a map of the world. The bottom portion resembles many hands. It is interesting and unique and fits in nicely with the surrounding woods area.

Barb, this is fascinating. It looks almost like a rubbing.
She seems to be hugging a tree.

@Judy: Yes she is hugging a tree. Actually one that appears it may collapse. After you commented I realized it does look like a rubbing. Since posting it I have liked and disliked the photo. I am my worst critic. I was pleased to see the comments. Thanks Judy.

@Kerri: Thank you Kerri. It is an interesting figure to come upon while walking through this wooded area in the park. The sculpture is about life size.
