It probably was a feud about girls like Wolfgang Prigge from Canada wrote. I am uncertain if these are male lizards in which case it could be two "girls" feuding over "boys" If it were this may have been more brutal who knows.
If you noticed they have taken on the same coloring. In the beginning images, one was a light gray with the other dark like they both are now. While hearts and ego may have been broken there did not appear to be any physical damage. Although one of them may have had an injury to a toe. They both ended up flipping over the side of this cement wall onto the grass where they continued but parted shortly after. It appeared the feud was over, at least for now.

Great series; these guys are fierce little competitors. Their cousins dread nothing in my back yard, except the occasional egret and our daughter's cat.
