Remember, a drunk driver is a dangerous driver. This time of year there are parties and gatherings that often include alcohol. If you have had even one drink find someone who has not had anything to drink drive for you, or stay the night. By being responsible and driving sober, yours may not be the only life you might save.

@standley: Thank you, hopefully others will be wise enough to be responsible.
Well done Barbara!!! Also love the effect you created that resembles what can happen to your eyesight if you've had one too many. Brilliant photo!

@Lorraine: Exactly my intentions with the effect. Thank you for noticing and taking time to comment. There are so many traumatic stories out there involving being under the influence. Too many innocent victims.
No problemo !!!!! My best wishes for the new year !

@Inés: Happy New Year Wishes to you! Thank you for commenting.
Good job, Barbara. With traffic as heavy as it is these days, chances are high you'll either have an accident or be caught. Is it really worth it?

@Dang: Thank you, Tom. Initially I intended my photos to create emotion. But I hope my message today touches on the emotions to realize exactly what you said, "Is it really worth it?" I appreciate your comment.
I commend you for your strong warning - appropriate at any time of year, but especially during the holiday season. A word to the wise should be sufficient; I pray it is ... and your photo is perfect.
Distorted vision is one of the detrimental factors but it is rather difficult to take a photo of delayed response time. ... You should share this with the MADD organization, Barb!

@Judy: Sincere thanks for your comment Judy. I cannot imagine that there are still those who make that WRONG decision to drink and drive. Believing that they are not impaired. I recall a father of 6 driving home from work late at night. Having car trouble he pulled the side of the road. Shortly after a drunk driver struck him leaving 6 children and a wife forever grieving. I knew this family when it occured. You are correct this message is appropriate at any time of year. Thank you.
This is a very important message for everyone, any time of the year.
